Overall, the producer liked my idea, however there were certain adjustments which he suggested to make the story line overall more secure and less confusing.
Firstly, he suggested that the protagonist is adopted and as well as researching into who is behind these crimes, she is also hunting for her biological parents. He suggested this due to a variety of shows having the idea that the protagonist experiences something negative within their life (e.g. with Luther, his job is amazing however his personal life is falling apart). So, in order to change this, I will include in the story that the protagonist is hunting for her biological parents, then towards the end, she discovers that her biological parents and her foster parents have come together to commit these crimes.
Secondly, he suggested that the budget is fairly low and since the show includes famous tv stars, he debated whether they would accept such a low pay cut. However, this will be improved by increasing the budget total to 650k instead of having it as 400k. This is to ensure that the stars are paid an amount which works for them as well as everyone is paid a good amount of money for their efforts.
Thirdly, he suggested that having all the characters similar ages (the parents and the protagonist) is slightly weird. Overall, I agree with this and I will change this by having a different protagonist. So, instead of having Ruth Wilson as the protagonist, I will have Daisy Rildey who is 27 years old.
